A symbolic take on the direction this once liberal nation is heading. I still stand by her although I hope with all my energy everyday that we will find our privacy and sacred freedoms once again. A quote from one of our founding fathers states, "restraint of government is true freedom for the people." Visiting the statue of Liberty the other day was sad due to the battery of security each of us had to go through only to find that we were no longer even allowed to go any higher into her than the base of the statue. An interesting simile between our loss of freedoms and rights.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. To help support the Literature community we hold regular contests. It is an opportunity for you to get involved and gain some exposure. Contest winners will be featured in a news article and a journal entry--as well as other fabulous prizes.
